Deliverable 4.4 The environmental behaviours guideline at the grocery shop

Practical Tips for Sustainable Shopping Aligned with Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Development Goals
This guide was elaborated for just one reason: to help people make smarter, more thoughtful decisions when buying groceries. Not in some perfect, idealistic way – just in a way that’s better for the planet and easy enough to stick with. It’s especially geared toward younger shoppers and folks in the community who want to do better but aren’t sure where to start.
We all are buying food. Every week, sometimes every day. And while it doesn’t seem like much, those decisions matter. They affect what gets produced, how much waste we generate, and what kind of system we’re supporting with our money. That’s why this guide focuses on the small things – stuff you can actually do. And NO theory, just actions that make sense whether you’re at a big store, a local market, or ordering online.
It talks about what should be our habits like picking produce that’s in season and grown nearby, cutting down on packaging (especially the pointless stuff), wasting as less as possible food at home, and buying products that were made in fair and responsible ways. These choices might feel small, but they are totally related to bigger actual efforts around the world – like the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals from the UN.
