MindtheCAP > Living Lab on Climate Change Awareness (4 Days) – Living Lab,Tunisia

The four-day Living Lab was designed as an interactive and participatory space bringing together young people, local community members, and stakeholders to raise awareness about climate change and explore collective solutions for sustainable action.

Through a series of creative, educational, and collaborative activities, participants deepened their understanding of climate issues while developing a sense of eco-citizenship and community responsibility.

Living Lab Sessions

Living Lab 1 – Understanding Climate Change

The Living Lab began with a Survey on Climate Change Awareness to assess participants’ knowledge and perceptions. The survey explored their understanding of the causes and effects of climate change, awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and personal environmental actions.

The collected data offered valuable insights into the community’s level of awareness, serving as a foundation for designing future awareness campaigns and educational sessions

Living Lab 2 – Learning Through Play

The second day featured an interactive Climate Change Quiz that combined learning with fun. Participants—especially young scouts—tested their knowledge of climate concepts, statistics, and local environmental issues.

Winners received green plants as eco-friendly prizes, symbolizing growth and commitment to sustainability. The activity fostered an engaging atmosphere of curiosity, teamwork, and motivation to learn more about climate action.

Living Lab 3 – Inspiring Through Stories

The third day centered on a Storytelling Game, highlighting the inspiring journey of a couple who dedicated their lives to reforestation efforts. Through storytelling, pictures, and short videos, participants learned how small, consistent actions can lead to large-scale environmental impact.
The interactive discussions encouraged participants to share their own ideas for community initiatives, strengthening their sense of empowerment and environmental responsibility.

Living Lab 4– Collaboration and Reflection

The final day concluded with a Roundtable Discussion that brought together all stakeholders—Scouts, JCI members, ATPNE representatives, and community participants—to reflect on the lessons learned and explore ways to sustain the project’s impact.

  • The Scouts shared their experience in mobilizing youth and leading community clean-up campaigns.
  • JCI presented strategies for engaging the public and raising visibility for environmental projects.
  • ATPNE contributed technical expertise on climate action and potential funding avenues.
  • Community members offered local insights into pressing environmental challenges and possible solutions.
